The Midwest's Premier Fine Craft Fair
The 42nd Morning Glory Fine Craft Fair was another successful show for artists, the public, and downtown Milwaukee. The fair featured 127 fine craft artists exhibiting ceramics, glass, leather, wood, photography, jewelry, fiber, enamel, handmade paper, metal, and mixed media. The venue as always, included many amenities for artists: Friday afternoon/evening set-up, reduced parking for exhibitors in a covered lot, an on-site caterer/food service, overnight booth security, and an indoor hospitality area. The home stay program for visiting artists grew this year and was very well received, with local artists and patrons offering a place to stay during the fair. Over $3,000 in artists’ awards each named for one of the outstanding members and former members who helped WDCC reach its 100th birthday this year, were presented, including cash and gift certificates. Now it's time to start planning for next year. We have our calendars marked, perhaps you should as well.
The Morning Glory Fine Craft Fair was held at the Charles Allis Art Museum from 1975 to 2001.
