If you work in metals, don't miss our fall workshop with Juan Carlos Caballero-Perez. He'll be teaching Creative Patterning and Textual Forms for the WDCC at Mt. Mary College. Here's what Juan Carlos says about the course:

Students will explore and compare various surfaces and texturing techniques for the creation of jewelry and metal objects. Using thin metal sheet and fine-gauge wire while focusing on processes such as roll-printing, hammer texturing, chase and stamping, fire texturing and the use of the flex-shaft as a texturing device, students will create and develop surface blocks. Workshop will cover an exploration of a variety of fabrication. and finishing techniques to enhance ideas for design exploration.

You can see his impressive portfolio of work at: www.caballero-studio.com/work.html

We'll be sending out registration forms to members soon, but this is the time to get our workshop on your calendar. The fee is $250 for the 2-day course.
