WDCC members stormed the Windy City to take in the international exhibition SOFA (Sculptural Objects Functional Art). This 2-day package included round-trip luxury coach transportation from Milwaukee to Chicago with an overnight stay in the handsome new W Lakeshore Hotel. Participants took in the SOFA expedition at Chicago's Navy Pier on Friday and were overwhelmed with the work of major international artists. On Saturday, the group visited the Art Institute to see the blockbuster Van Gogh/Gauguin "Studio of the South" exhibition. Add in some great shopping on Michigan Ave. and some delicious meals at a variety of local restaurants to top off this art-filled weekend. Everyone is in agreement - let's go back next year!
