More than 60 artists working in ceramics, fiber, jewelry, leather, photography, glass, sculpture, and mixed media are represented in the gallery's handsome space inside the lobby of the Marcus Center in downtown Milwaukee, Wis. The gallery celebrated its 1-year anniversary in July 2007. "Our gallery offers an amazing selection of contemporary fine crafts unlike any other venue in the city. And our unique partnership with the Marcus Center, combining visual arts with performing arts, benefits everyone," says Barb Chappell, WDCC president. The Morning Glory Gallery is an extension of the longstanding partnership between the Wisconsin Designer Crafts Council and the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. Each year WDCC stages the popular Morning Glory Fine Craft Fair in August at the Marcus Center. Shoppers can now purchase fine craft work from the same talented artists year-round!
